Fish in the Ocean

29 07 2010

I have come to the conclusion that there are so many fish in the sea that I feel overwhelmed and forget how to fish.  God gives us many opportunities, and quite often he allows us to decide which one we want.  But with so many choices it’s hard to pick just one.  But one I must pick.  Summer is on a collision course with coming to a close, and fall is well on it’s way.  That gives me about 3 months or so to figure out what I’m doing next.  Because if I don’t decide I’ll end up doing nothing… again.  So anyway here’s what I’m looking at:

Behind door number one:  I apply for the police academy this winter (jan-april), and finish my Redcloud career.  from there I could either find a job, or work another summer at a camp (preferably out of state).  I’ve been planning this one for about a couple of months.

Behind door number two: I make a two year commitment as the gear manager for Redcloud.  This is a full time staff position.  I haven’t pursued this one yet, although sometime today I plan to get a more complete job description for this, for planning purposes.  This is one of those things that I’d always thought of, and now opportunity presents itself.

Behind door number three:  I don’t go to the Police academy, and I just sit around all day playing WOW, Modern Warfare 2 and eating Doritos… I’m not partial to this one, although I do like Doritos… And MW2.

So anyway, that’s what’s on my mind at the moment.  Please pray for the rest of my summer and fall, that me and all the staff and campers stay safe.  and learn more about the awesome wonder that is God.
